Zoom!™ Whitening

Substances such as coffee, tea, tobacco, and soft drinks can stain your teeth, causing you to appear older than you are and making your smile less than dazzling. Fortunately, Zoom!™ whitening can remove years of stains, whitening teeth by an average of eight shades. Zoom!™ is a quick, painless treatment performed in Dr. Petroselli’s office, freeing you from the inconvenience of take-home whitening systems.

During the process, the health of our patients’ gums is assessed, and then a specially formulated 25 percent hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to teeth. This gel is activated by exposure to a Zoom! ™ whitening lamp that causes it to penetrate the teeth, breaking down even the most stubborn stains. This process is repeated three times to achieve the full whitening effect, and a quick fluoride treatment concludes the procedure.

Zoom!™ is safe, effective, and convenient. If you follow up your Zoom!™ treatment
with careful dental hygiene, the brilliant whiteness of your teeth will remain for up to five years. Zoom!™ takes less than two hours when performed by dental professionals like Dr. Petroselli, so you can return from your lunch break with the white smile of your dreams. If you prefer, there is also a take-home Zoom!™ whitening system that is just as effective in removing unsightly stains.

Porcelain Veneers

For a complete smile makeover, nothing beats porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are individually crafted, then bonded onto your teeth to cover stains, chips, and other imperfections, creating a uniform, beautiful, white smile. They can even be used to lengthen your teeth, restoring the shape of teeth that have become worn down over time. They can also be used as a type of “instant orthodontics,” masking crookedness or eliminating small gaps between teeth.

Porcelain veneers are strong and permanent, and require no special upkeep. Best of all, they are highly stain resistant, so they instantly brighten your smile – and stay bright.

Porcelain Crowns

Crowns, also commonly known as caps, are tooth-colored covers that fit over teeth to conceal cracks, chips, and other damage. They are not only attractive, but they also help to support structurally weak teeth and make them resistant to future injury. Porcelain crowns are safer than metal crowns, as they don’t contain any mercury. And they flawlessly blend in with the rest of your teeth, so no one will know you even have them!

Bridges, sometimes referred to as fixed partial dentures, are a good way to replace a missing tooth. A bridge is made up of two dental crowns, which cover the remaining teeth on either side of the gap, and an artificial tooth in between, which literally bridges the gap. Lost teeth can create speech problems and diminish the strength of your bite; bridges fix these problems, restoring the functionality of your teeth. With proper oral hygiene, bridges can last 10 years.

Dental Implants

Missing teeth don’t just create holes in your smile; they can also lead to receding gums and the shifting of your remaining teeth to fill the gap, further diminishing the health and beauty of your smile. You may also experience speech challenges and hygiene problems because of the gap. Luckily, dental implants can help. Dental implants are an attractive, permanent, effective way to replace missing teeth.

Dental implants have surpassed traditional bridges or dentures as the best treatment for lost teeth, since they last for decades, require no special upkeep, and closely mimic your natural teeth. They literally become a part of your jaw and mouth.

The foundations of dental implants are made of a strong, lightweight titanium alloy. They are first anchored into the jawbone, becoming a part of the bone over several weeks. Titanium is an excellent choice of material, because it integrates into the jawbone, becoming securely anchored as the bone and gums grow around it. After this artificial root is anchored, a natural-looking, custom-crafted replacement tooth is placed on top of its strong foundation. Dental implants dramatically and effectively beautify your smile while also restoring health to your mouth. They can be an essential component of a dramatic smile makeover, as well as a superior alternative to traditional bridges or dentures.
